Amy (White Witch)

Amy is an Earth-born White Witch and one of the most powerful Spirit-wielders in recorded history. Discovered by Ichigo during her service as a hotel clerk on Earth, she later became the bonded partner of Bodhbh Dearg, the True Warlock. Her awakening marked the first known emergence of a full White Witch outside WyrdeHaven since the Age of Separation.

Early Life

Amy was born on Earth, unaware of her heritage or the ancient lineage that would one day claim her. Even as a child, she sensed that her words carried unusual weight - that people would listen, calm, or obey when she spoke from the heart. Though she could not name it, Amy was consciously using a fragment of her Gift known as The Voice long before her awakening. She employed it carefully, often to defuse tension or protect herself, unaware that her instincts were guided by the Element of Spirit itself.

Living an ordinary life among the Unawakened, she used her intuition not for dominance, but for kindness - her empathy shaping her actions long before her training began.

Awakening

Amy’s latent powers were unlocked under initial guidance of Ichigo, but were honed under Argante le Fay's mentorship. Sensing something otherworldly in her presence, Ichigo confronted Amy after witnessing her use of The Voice. When Amy instinctively tried to compel Ichigo’s forgetfulness, her spell failed. Unknown to her, Amy’s Spirit was already protected by her nascent bond to Bodhbh Dearg, the then-dormant True Warlock.

Under Argante le Fay’s guidance, she was formally initiated into the Order of White Witches.

Training Under Argante

Under Argante le Fay, Amy learned to refine her abilities, focusing on balance, intention, and restraint. Argante described her as “a wildfire that learned to breathe”, recognising both her raw potential and her emotional depth. Her training emphasised empathy as both weapon and shield - understanding that the greatest strength of a White Witch lies in her compassion, not her power.^{[note 1]}

Argante was present during the Bonding Ritual between Amy and Bodhbh Dearg, witnessing the act that affirmed the Warlock’s uncorrupted nature and establishing a unique resonance between Spirit and Will. This act was considered both a covenant of love and an omen of renewal for the fading balance between Light and Shadow.

Powers and Abilities

Amy possesses every hallmark of a fully realised White Witch, alongside an unprecedented affinity for Spirit amplification.

Known abilities include:

Aura Vision - Can perceive complex multi-layered auras, including foreign mana interference.
The Voice - Her natural Gift, capable of influencing thought and emotion through harmonic resonance in speech.
Healing Light - Her healing manifests as iridescent threads of white-blue energy, weaving flesh and Spirit together.
Spirit Weaving - A technique unique to Amy, allowing her to merge multiple Spirit signatures for temporary unity in purpose or protection.
Holy Armour - When invoked, her Spirit Suit manifests pure mana into a radiant silver-white armour, phase-shifting through luminous stages until it solidifies into a full ceremonial form.

Argante recorded that Amy’s Holy Armour manifests faster and with greater intensity than any known before her - a sign of her unusually strong Spirit Core.

Bond with the True Warlock

Amy’s bond to Bodhbh Dearg is considered both mystical and symbolic. White Witches are incapable of bonding with evil, and thus her willing union with the True Warlock is widely regarded as a divine endorsement of his character and purpose. Through their connection, Amy serves as his mirror - the calm within his storm, balancing his destructive potential with Spirit’s serenity.^{[note 2]}

While deeply devoted, Amy maintains her autonomy and challenges Bodhbh’s choices when she deems it necessary, embodying the principle that love is not submission, but resonance.

Personality

Amy is warm, assertive, and emotionally open - though her confidence conceals lingering insecurity about her worth among the mages of WyrdeHaven. Her Earth upbringing grants her a practical perspective and empathy uncommon among many of the magically born. She dislikes formal titles and often deflects reverence with humour, preferring to be seen as a woman first, and a Witch second.

Legacy and Recognition

Despite her youth and Earth-born origin, Amy is now counted among the most powerful White Witches ever recorded. Argante herself stated that Amy’s Gift “probably surpasses even that of Nyneve”, though Amy dismisses such comparisons as flattery.

Her emergence on Earth and subsequent rise in WyrdeHaven are seen as signs of the returning Balance - that Spirit itself has not abandoned the mortal world.
